CheckRequest Transcripts:

Apply Now

You will need to have a final, official high school transcript or GED transcript sent to Iowa Western Community College. In addition, if you have taken any college credit courses at another institution, you need to contact that institution and request that those transcripts be sent directly to the IWCC Office of Admissions.

CheckTake the Placement Test:

Apply Now

You need to complete a skills assessment test called the COMPASS. If you have taken the ACT, ASSET, or SAT recently, you can submit those scores in lieu of taking the COMPASS test. Please note that scores cannot be more than two years old at the start of the term for which you are accepted. If you need to take the COMPASS test, which is free of charge, please call 712.325.3277 to schedule a time that works for you. If you have completed more than 30 semester hours at a regionally accredited college or university, the placement test score requirement may be waived for admission purposes; however, the placement test score requirement cannot be waived if your intended program requires minimum scores for admission.
